Sports Scouting Solution Company SPOIT Selected for ‘Google for Startups Cloud’ Program and Recognized as ‘AI Startup’

AI-based sports scouting solution company SPOIT announced on the 22nd that it has been selected for the Google for Startups Cloud program.

The Google for Startups Cloud program provides financial and infrastructure support through the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), offering new benefits to AI startups by giving them access to the technology and resources needed to build AI services.

Within the program, SPOIT has been chosen for the highest-level “AI STARTUP” tier, which grants up to USD 350,000 (approx. KRW 486 million) in financial benefits, along with coverage for Google Cloud and Firebase costs. The company will also receive a wide range of benefits, including AI training, open AI infrastructure support, workshops to strengthen team technical capabilities, and assistance in entering new markets.

SPOIT aims to leverage AI technology to analyze football match video data, applying object recognition, detection, tracking, and extraction to deliver more advanced player performance analysis. Through this, the company is focused on developing a sports scouting platform that can lead the global market.

In addition, last July, SPOIT was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS program, which provides KRW 500 million in R&D funding over two years, KRW 170 million in business linkage support, and additional funds for overseas marketing. With the newly secured GCP infrastructure, SPOIT plans to build a more stable and systematic K-Scouting system.
